Trust Building
Helping teams build the confidence to rely on one another.
Trust is one of the strongest foundations of team performance. When people trust one another, they share information openly, ask for help earlier, give honest feedback and take collective responsibility for outcomes. Without trust, teams may still complete tasks, but collaboration becomes guarded, slow and transactional.
In many organisations, trust weakens gradually. Pressure, unclear communication, unresolved conflict, inconsistent follow-through or limited interaction can create hesitation between colleagues and teams. People begin to protect their own work, avoid difficult conversations and hold back ideas that could improve results.
The Strawberry Outbound Trust Building Programme helps teams rebuild openness, reliability and psychological safety through shared experiences that make trust visible. Participants experience how communication, support, integrity and accountability directly influence collaboration and team confidence.
Through experiential challenges, facilitated reflection and structured conversations, the programme gives participants a practical language for discussing trust. They learn how small behaviours such as listening, keeping commitments, sharing information and offering support shape the quality of team relationships.
The result is a stronger team environment where people feel safer to contribute, more confident to collaborate and more willing to take shared ownership for success.

A practical way to strengthen trust without forcing vulnerability.
Organisations choose Strawberry Outbound because our Trust Building Programme makes trust practical, observable and connected to everyday work.
Instead of asking participants to discuss trust only as a concept, we create shared experiences where trust is tested through communication, decision-making, support and accountability. These moments give teams a common reference point for meaningful reflection.
Every programme is customised to suit the team's maturity, comfort level and business context. The facilitation style is respectful and professional, helping participants discuss trust barriers without blame or discomfort.
Clients value the way the programme turns sensitive team dynamics into constructive conversations and practical commitments. Teams leave with clearer expectations around communication, reliability, feedback and support.
The result is a stronger working environment where people feel safer to speak, more confident to collaborate and more committed to delivering results together.
Rebuilding Trust Across a Newly Integrated Project Team
A large infrastructure organisation had brought together employees from engineering, procurement, operations and finance to work on a complex strategic project. Although each function had strong expertise, the team struggled with guarded communication, delayed information sharing and low confidence in cross-functional commitments.
Leaders recognised that the project required more than process alignment. The team needed to build trust quickly so that people could speak openly, raise risks early and depend on one another during critical delivery milestones.
Strawberry Outbound designed a one-day Trust Building Programme focused on communication, reliability, psychological safety and shared accountability. Participants were placed in mixed groups and given experiential challenges where success depended on transparent planning, mutual support and consistent follow-through.
As the challenges progressed, participants saw how small behaviours affected trust. Withholding information slowed the group down, unclear commitments created confusion and assumptions between functions affected performance. Facilitated debriefs helped the team connect these observations directly to their project environment.
The most valuable conversations emerged when participants discussed what they needed from one another to work with greater confidence. Teams created practical agreements around response times, escalation, feedback, decision-making and information sharing.
Following the programme, leaders noticed more proactive communication between functions and a greater willingness to raise concerns early. Project meetings became more transparent, and team members began holding one another accountable without defensiveness.
The programme helped the project team move from cautious cooperation to stronger trust, giving them a shared language for collaboration and a clearer commitment to collective success.
